Inspiration

The original inspiration came from our admiration for the transformative shape of parachutes and the lightness of their durable functional textiles. We want to create adaptable and durable products that take on different forms and purposes.

Design & Development

Transitional objects can take on several different forms and purposes - always there when you need it, or not in the way when you don’t. We believe that giving the objects we design the ability to adapt to different situations is fundamental to living a life that is lighter and more enjoyable.

All caps and future products are designed, prototyped, and developed in our small studio/ living room space.

Materials

Recycled Ripstop

Lightweight and breathable, our new recycled ripstop fabric is strong, durable, and easy to pack up.

50+ UPF Sun Protection
Breathable DWR C0 coating(PFC Free).
Bluesign approved

1.0oz Monofilament Ripstop Mesh.

Our monofilament ripstop mesh was carefully selected for its superior characteristics. It is one of the strongest meshes available and is made from 100% Nylon 6 yarn. It is extremely breathable with a CFM rating of over 1000.

20 Denier.
Breathable DWR C6 coating(PFC Free).
0 UPF Sun protection

Microfiber Polyester.

We selected this particular microfiber polyester material because of its proven sun protection and long lasting durability.

100% Polyester.
Sun protective rating is 30+ UPF.

SMARTFOAM Molded Visor

Custom molded. No sew lamination.
The SMARTFOAM recovers it’s shape quickly after unpacking.

Premium Hardware.

We’ve selected premium hardware from some of the most well known and trusted hardware suppliers.

Duraflex snaps (Bluesign approved) were selected for their small size and long term reliability.
Nifco cord lock (Bluesign approved) is one of the smallest in its category and features a dual sided adjustment.
