Behind the Scenes: P-Cap fulfillment

Here is a sneak peak into what goes on behind the scenes after we receive the inventory!

Preparing orders takes time, especially when we are catching up on our Pre-orders. The packing time tends to get piled up and it just takes a little longer than usual for us to complete the fulfillment in bulk. This video was filmed when we received the inventory for all the Pre-orders (about 1000+ caps!) accumulated within the prior 2 months and highlights that we have definitely been learning a lot about how else we could do it better.

Our most important first step is we run through the quality control procedure on all the caps. And finally, to package the caps in their compact mode to create a one of a kind open box experience for our customers!

Quality control

Inspecting the stitching quality, lint roller-ing all over da place, burning off the excess and loose threads, and checking the paracord adjustment for smoothness.

Identify
”defective”
products

The “defective” ones often work just fine! Sometimes it’s the stubborn stains, the snap’s location is off (it does affect the snapping), broken stitch lines (means things can fall apart at some point), etc.

Pack them up!

To have our signature feature as part of the open box experience, we pack up all the P-Caps in the most compact mode. Then we pack each cap in the craft paper pillow box before shipping within a recyclable tyvek mailer to you!
